Folsom Lake broke through in the sixth with a two-run single to take a 2-1 lead, but the Hawks responded in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the ninth. Jacob Schreiber earned the win in relief, shutting down Folsom Lake over the final four innings, allowing just two hits and no runs.
Despite managing just four hits, Cosumnes River capitalized on key opportunities and took advantage of five Folsom Lake errors to complete the comeback win.
In the March 10 contest, the Hawks jumped ahead early, taking a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning behind a two-RBI double from Ryan Okino. However, Folsom Lake responded with consistent offensive pressure and broke the game open with a seven-run eighth inning to pull away for a 14-4 victory.
