Lady Hawks in a back-and-forth match with Santa Rosa JC battled to a 2-1 victory on Friday, The Lady Hawks had to overcome some adversity as a late first half penalty kick was called against the Hawks giving Santa Rosa a 0-1 halftime lead. This did not discourage our Lady Hawks as they came out in the 2nd half and dominated the play. The hard work was rewarded in the 50th minute when Sophomore Nariyah O'Brien beat the Santa Rosa defender down the line and serve a perfect ball to Jaeda Wilson who tied up the game 1-1. In the 82nd minute Jaeda Wilson go the ball on the wing, beat a defender and served a ball to sophomore Analise Villasenor for a tap in goal to give the Lady Hawks a 2-1 win on the road.
Next up for the 8-5-4 Lady Hawks is an away match at Sacramento City College on Friday at 2:00pm.
