Hawks Run Away Early as Cosumnes River Overpowers San Mateo, 91–63
Cosumnes River College delivered one of its most complete performances of the season on November 21, jumping out early and never looking back in a dominant 91–63 win over the College of San Mateo. The Hawks set the tone from the opening quarter, racing to a 21–11 lead and exploding for 29 points in the second to take a commanding 50–20 advantage into halftime.
Zakara Cooper led the charge with 18 points, while Aletha Singleton added 15 and Peyton Thorpe chipped in 16, giving Cosumnes River consistent scoring pressure throughout the night. Ariel Bailey provided a huge spark off the bench, pouring in a team-high 20 points and knocking down four three-pointers to stretch the floor and bury any hopes of a San Mateo comeback.
Cosumnes River's depth, pace, and ability to attack the rim proved overwhelming, as the Hawks reached the 90-point mark and controlled the game on both ends. With balanced scoring, strong energy, and relentless offense, CRC sent a clear message with a convincing wire-to-wire victory.
