Bio
Personal: Alyna’s family includes dad John, mom Martina, and brother Cristian. She’s been playing basketball since she was in fourth grade, when she was asked to play on the fifth/sixth grade team in elementary school. She chose this sport because her dad introduced her to the sport. Her major is Speech-Language Pathology. She aspires to become a speech-language pathologist. In her spare time she enjoys going outdoors, going on walks with her dog and family, sleeping (lots of napping), and longboarding with her brother.
Athletic Highlights: 4-year starting varsity player, Sportsmanship Award, All League, Team Captain.
Most embarrassing thing that happened in her sport: I scored on the wrong basket (when I was younger).
Favorites: Food: Asian Food Movie: The Pursuit of Happyness Entertainer: Ellen DeGeneres Athlete: Larry Bird
Person she most admires: I admire my brother the most for his work ethic and desire to be great at everything he does. He is also an extremely moral and wholesome person who sticks to his morals, which is very admirable.
Person who most influenced your athletic career: My dad.
Quote that inspires her: “Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside, and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”
Best thing about being a Hawk: Knowing that no matter what, your coaches and teammates are your family and will not give up or quit on you.
