After exchanging scoring opportunities, the Mustangs got on the scoreboard in the 16th minute when a bad first touch off an unfortunate bounce found the Mustangs on a counter attack where Ivan Rosales scored off a pass from Hector Romero to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. Two minutes of clock time later, the Hawks were caught on the counter-attack again as Lucas Travis scored off an Avel Chavez assist to give the Mustangs a 2-0 advantage. The Mustangs won the match 3-0.
