Williams' Double-Double Keeps the Hawks Ahead in Victory Over Folsom Lake
Cosumnes River secured a 74–64 victory over Folsom Lake on Tuesday night, fueled by a balanced offensive attack and strong control of the boards. The Hawks jumped out to a 41–31 lead in the first half and held off a second-half surge from the Falcons to close out the win.
Jake Williams led the way with a dominant performance, posting 19 points and a game-high 15 rebounds while adding three assists. Mason Marsh contributed 12 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Kainoa Marasco added 11 points, including two three-pointers, and chipped in two steals. Aalijah Gillyard and Aaron Gillyard combined for 16 points, with Aalijah pulling down six rebounds and Aaron facilitating the offense with five assists.
The Hawks' bench also played a key role in maintaining the lead. Kenneth Ramey Jr. added five points and three steals, and Jaden High chipped in nine points and four rebounds off the bench, helping Cosumnes River extend its advantage when needed.
Cosumnes River shot 42.9 percent from the field and 70.8 percent from the free-throw line, while outrebounding Folsom Lake 40–41 and finishing with nine steals and three blocks as a team. The Hawks' combination of defensive pressure, efficient scoring, and strong rebounding proved too much for the Falcons to overcome.
