Former Hawk Kristopher Negron Promoted to Mariners 1st Base Coach
Fresh off being named Triple-A Manager of the year and leading the Tacoma Rainiers to the AAA West Championship, Kristopher Negron is taking his talents back to the majors. In 2006, Negron came to CRC via Vanden High School. After playing for one season, Negron was drafted by the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed a professional career that lasted until 2019. During his MLB tenure, Negron played for the Cincinati Reds, Arizona Diamondbacks, Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles Dodgers as a utility player.
Negron returned to the Mariners after his playing career where he served as an assistant to the director of player development for just over a year. In January 2021, he was then named manager for the Tacoma Rainers for the Seattle Mariner's organization. Fast forward 10 months, and now Kristopher Negron is gonig back to Seattle to serve as the first base coach.
