The ball was flying as both teams combined for four homeruns on the day. The Trojans hit three while Brooks Day hit a solo shot for the Hawks in the top of the seventh inning.
Four Hawks had two hits on the day, in addition to Day, Brian Morley, Jordan Estes, and Damien Chavez all collected multi-hit games. Estes double was the only other extra base hit for the Hawks.
Wheatley was the Hawks RBI leader with two, one with a sac fly in the fourth inning.
Joshua Congress got the start for the Hawks and went three innings giving up four hits, one walk, and having 6 strikeouts in his innings. Daniel Vitoria also pitched well for the Hawks going 3 1/3 hitless innings giving up just 2 walks in his outing.
