Hawks Face Another Tough Challenge at Home
The Cosumnes River College Hawks beach volleyball team faced a pair of tough home matches at the Hawk Beach Volleyball Courts, falling 3-2 to Sierra College before being swept 5-0 by San Joaquin Delta College. Despite the losses, the Hawks showed flashes of resilience and strong individual performances throughout the day.
Match 1: Cosumnes River vs. Sierra College
The Hawks started the day with a close 3-2 defeat against Sierra College. Cosumnes River's #1 duo of Hoffman and Patterson got the team off to a strong start with a 2-0 win (21-11, 21-8) over Brown and Parmenter. Singles action featured several tightly contested matches:
- #2: Amen/Williams fell 0-2 (17-21, 16-21) to Moeller/Morgan.
- #3: Belnap/Snow pushed Cox/Deladia to three sets but lost 1-2 (21-16, 18-21, 11-15).
- #4: Stutes/Valencia secured a 2-0 victory (21-15, 21-18) over Armstrong/Seals.
- #5: Rios/Sanchez went three sets but came up short 1-2 (21-11, 11-21, 19-21) against Gunter/Richter.

In the second matchup of the day, the Hawks struggled against a dominant San Joaquin Delta team, falling 5-0.
