Collin Pregliasco was named Cosumnes River’s Dean of Kinesiology, Health, and Athletics and Athletic Director on January 3, 2017.
Pregliasco comes to Cosumnes River College with over 10 years of intercollegiate athletics experience. Most recently, Pregliasco served as the Associate Athletic Director of Administration and Communications at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His responsibilities included athletic administration for 15 intercollegiate teams, marketing & development, NCAA compliance, and sports information.
Prior to UC Santa Cruz, Pregliasco served as assistant athletic director, head softball coach, and kinesiology instructor at Foothill College in Los Altos, CA. At Foothill, he led the Owls to the highest winning percentage in school history (.676). He also coached 32 scholar-athletes and 37 All-Coast-Conference players in his first eight recruiting classes.
Pregliasco was very involved at the CCCAA where he served as Coast Conference Representative from 2009 to 2014 in addition to holding positions on the CCCAA State Tournament Committee for five years and CCCAA Sophomore Showcase Committee for two years. While at Foothill, Pregliasco was also a prime contributor to the design process for Foothill College’s new $2.5 million softball and soccer facility which ASBA awarded the 2011 top new facility of the year.
Preceding Foothill, Pregliasco was the head women’s soccer coach, head women’s badminton coach, and physical education instructor at Mission College where he left as the winningest coach in Mission College women’s soccer program history. He also coached high school field hockey, girl’s soccer, and softball at Prospect High School in Saratoga, CA.
In addition to his intercollegiate experience, Pregliasco recently began working with the NFL as a photo production assistant for Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl 50.
He holds a M.S. in Sports Management from American Public University, 2015 as well as a M.A. and B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University in 2004 and 2001.
Pregliasco and his wife Jamie, a current pre K teacher, reside in Folsom with their two children Chase (10) and Peyton (9).
