CRC Student-Athletes Deliver Record-Setting Academic Semester
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Cosumnes River College student-athletes produced the strongest academic performance in department history during the Fall 2025 semester, recording the highest overall GPA ever achieved by CRC Athletics.
Across CRC's 10 varsity programs, student-athletes posted a combined grade-point average of 3.401 while averaging 15.97 units attempted, marking the 12th consecutive semester, 6 straight calendar years, the department has finished above a 3.0 GPA.
According to the most current available data from Data Vista, the average full-time Cosumnes River College student posted a 2.76 GPA, while the average 3C2A student-athlete recorded a 2.89 GPA. By comparison, CRC's overall student-athlete GPA of 3.401 significantly outperformed both the general student population and the national student-athlete average, underscoring the department's continued commitment to academic excellence alongside athletic success.
"This is another clear reflection of how competitive our student-athletes are and how they compete to be the best in everything they do," said Collin Pregliasco, Dean of Kinesiology, Health, and Athletics and Athletic Director. "Our fall grades speak directly to their dedication and to the high standards we set as a department. I am incredibly proud of the way our men and women continue to pursue excellence and represent Cosumnes River College at the highest level."
A total of 77.7 percent of CRC student-athletes completed the semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, while over half of all student-athletes (54.8 percent) earned a GPA of 3.5 or better. In addition, 36 student-athletes recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Spring 2025 semester.

Our students continue to raise the expectations for what can be accomplished, and that success is driven by the daily efforts of our faculty, coaches, staff, and support services who push our student-athletes to be their best in the classroom, in the community, and beyond."
Academic excellence was evident across the department, with eight teams earning a collective GPA above 3.0 during the semester. Men's Swimming led all programs with a 3.823 team GPA, followed by women's soccer (3.726), beach volleyball (3.568), softball (3.484), baseball (3.443), men's basketball (3.427), women's volleyball (3.323), men's soccer (3.045), and women's basketball (3.002).
CRC Athletics also recognized scholar-athletes who competed in the fall or are currently on a spring sport roster, completed at least 12 units, and earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
In total, 108 student-athletes received that distinction for the semester. Women's soccer led all teams with 21 scholar-athletes, followed by baseball with 20, and men's soccer with 19.
