Support Hawk Student-Athletes During the 2026 Los Rios Athletics Day of Giving
One Team. Four Colleges. Endless Impact.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Cosumnes River College Athletics is inviting alumni, fans, families, community members, and local businesses to rally behind Hawk student-athletes during the 2026 Los Rios Athletics Day of Giving on Wednesday, September 16.
The one-day fundraising campaign brings together all four Los Rios colleges to provide critical support for student-athletes who balance academics, athletics, work, and family responsibilities. Every gift helps create opportunities beyond the playing field by funding athletic equipment, team travel, academic resources, nutritional support, and other services that empower Hawks to succeed in the classroom, in competition, and after graduation.
Unlike many four-year institutions, California community colleges do not offer athletic scholarships, making philanthropic support an essential part of sustaining successful athletic programs and enhancing the student-athlete experience.
"Our student-athletes represent the very best of Cosumnes River College through their dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence," said Athletic Director Collin Pregliasco. "Giving Day is an opportunity for our community to invest directly in their success and ensure future generations of Hawks have the resources to compete, graduate, and achieve their goals."
The campaign follows another historic year for CRC Athletics. During the 2025-26 academic year, eight of the college's 10 athletic programs qualified for postseason competition, highlighted by the softball team's appearance in the 3C2A State Championship Tournament. In the classroom, CRC student-athletes continued to excel, recording the department's 12th consecutive semester with a cumulative GPA above 3.00, including department-record GPAs of 3.401 in Fall 2025 and 3.344 in Spring 2026.
While the department's operating budget supports day-to-day program operations, philanthropic support provides opportunities that directly enhance the student-athlete experience. Two current fundraising priorities include expanding access to food for student-athletes through the Student-Athlete Learning Center and completing the Wall of Excellence, a permanent display celebrating more than five decades of CRC Athletics history and accomplishments.
Supporters can designate their gift to benefit Cosumnes River College Athletics or contribute to student-athlete success across all four Los Rios colleges. Local businesses, organizations, and campus leaders also have the opportunity to amplify their impact by participating in the Leadership Match initiative, encouraging additional participation by matching gifts made during the Day of Giving. Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $500 to $5,000 provide year-long recognition while supporting student-athletes across the district.
Whether you're a proud alum, parent, former student-athlete, fan, campus leader, or community partner, your support makes a lasting difference.
Join us on Wednesday, September 16, and help strengthen the future of Cosumnes River College Athletics—because every Hawk deserves the opportunity to soar.
