FRESHMAN (2012-13)

One of four players to appear in all 29 games , starting every game… averaged 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists while playing significant minutes for the Hawks… shot .406 (88-217) from the field… shot .235 from the perimeter (8-34)… put up double-digits in scoring in the team’s final three games of the season… posted a season high 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting including 1of 1 from three on the road against Sierra (2/14)… also dished out five assists and only one turnover in the contest… dished out a season high nine assists the previous game on the road against Diablo Valley (2/12)… also contributed nine points in the overtime victory over the Vikings… grabbed a season high eight rebounds against Sequoias in a tournament game in Visalia (12/15)… also scored 12 points while dishing out four assists in the game against the Giants… snagged a season high three steals against Modesto (1/11)… also contributed eight assists in the win over the Pirates… made collegiate debut in the Ed Boyle Classic in Ukiah against Butte College (11/15)… scored 10 points while snagging two rebounds and contributing four assists in the victory over the Roadrunners… also had two steals in debut… the first true freshman to start at point guard for the Hawks since Mike Elliott during the 2008-09 season.

HIGH SCHOOL

A 2012 graduate of Bethel High School in Vallejo, Calif. … a two-sport athlete for the Jaguars, Cook was recognized as an ESPN Cal-Hi Sports Grid-Hoop (basketball and football) athlete of distinction after leading Bethel to the Sac-Joaquin Section basketball semifinals at Power Balance Pavilion, and quarterbacking the Jaguars to CIF Sac-Joaquin Section semifinals… lettered four times for the Jaguars in basketball (point guard), twice in football (quarterback/defensive back), and once in baseball (outfield/third base)… 2012 Times-Herald Athlete of the Year nominee… named 2012 SCAC Most Valuable Player after leading the Jaguars to a league title… scored 31 points against Vallejo to lead them to the championship… first-team All-SCAC selection three times, taking MVP honors once… named to the 2012 SCAC/MEL Challenge… scored 14 points to help lead the SCAC All-Stars to a 102-97 victory… twice named All-SCAC defensive back… led the Jaguars over Sac-Joaquin section Division I powerhouses Jesuit and Grant in playoffs his senior year… passed for 846 yards and touchdowns for Bethel as a quarterback in 2011… also rushed for 345 yards and five touchdowns, accounting for over 1,000 yards of total offense as a senior… played AAU for the Oakland Rebels.
