SACRAMENTO (1-26) – Cosumnes River finished their two game series with Shasta College in Sacramento on Saturday. The Hawks won 3-1 over the Knights.
JD Mico had two hits, including a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Dean Lucas had a home run in fourth inning that drove in the go ahead runs.
Owen Hunt, Joey Pankratz, Griffin Selby, and Troy Davis had time on the mound. Though the staff did face some trouble, they managed to throw strikes and get outs when they were needed most, including a 5-4-3 double play in the top of the ninth.
Pankratz got the win for the Hawks, Colby Milligan received the loss for the Knights and Troy Davis got the save.
The next game is Tuesday as they take on Mendocino College in Sacramento at 2 pm.
