Hawks split with San Mateo and Skyline!
Game 1: CRC vs San Mateo:
            CRC started off their night by playing the College of San Mateo. CRC lost in three sets by the score of 20-25, 16-25, and 22-25. Olivia Sowles led the Hawks with 8 kills, followed by Justine Busse with 5. Keilani Gather led the team with 14 digs on opposing team's attacks. The Hawks combined to have 7 service aces against the Bulldogs. True freshman Meg Maddalena led the team with 2 solo blocks against San Mateo. 
 
Game 2: CRC vs Skyline:
            The Hawks came out in game two with more energy and took down the hosting Trojans of Skyline College in three sets (25-21, 25-17, and 22-19). Hannah Norris had a team high 8 kills for the Hawks who collectively had 22 kills in the match. The Hawk's setter, Lauren Smith had 16 assists of the 22 kills on the night while also contributing 3 service aces. The backrow for the Hawks consisting of Keilani Gather, Maya Young, Justine Busse, and Clarissa Pacheco successfully dug 27 of the opposing Trojan's attempted attacks.
 
Up next, the Cosumnes River College Hawks travel to Ohlone College to play the hosting Ohlone Renegades followed by a match with the Los Medanos Mustangs.
