Hawks victory breaks in ARC's new facility in style!

Lauren Azevedo broke in the nets in the new facility in the seventh minute with a goal for the Hawks off an Anna Ottley assist. The goal was Azevedo's second on the year, both of which have been in Big 8 action. The assist for Ottley was her fourth on the season and the second for her in conference play.

The second half was quiet scoring wise until the 64th minute when Averen Calvin struck again as she pounded in her 10th goal on the season, but even more outstanding was the fact that it was her 8th goal in conference action. Andrea Story had the assist on Calvin's goal and that was her sixth assist overall and the fifth in Big 8 play.

Elizabeth Kowalczyk faced four shots on the day, all of which were shots on goal as she completed the shutout against the Beavers. Kowalczyk lowered her goals-against-average to 1.21 on the season and 0.94 in conference action.

With the victory the Hawks are now 7-7-5 on the season and are at 5-5-2 in conference play.

Next up for the Hawks is a road match at Sac City on Tuesday at 6pm. Sac City is still looking for their first conference victory and the Hawks defeated them earlier this season 5-0 on the Hawks home turf.
