Learn. Compete. Achieve.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.- Head Coach Cesar Plasencia (pictured right) has released the 2014 Cosumnes River women's schedule.  The schedule, which features 21 contests, will see the Hawks compete at home 10 times during the regular season.  The Hawks open up the 2014 season later this week on the road against Bay Valley conference power Solano JC (Aug. 29).

Cosumnes River hosts the Rams of City College of San Francisco in their 2014 home opener on Sept. 5.  They'll host CCCAA powerhouse, and two-time defending state champion Cerritos Falcons, on Sunday Sept. 7.  The Hawks will continue their home stand the following week, hosting the Fresno City College Rams (Sept. 9) and Evergreen Valley College (Sept. 12).

The pre conference schedule doesn't get any easier for the Hawks, as CRC heads to Southern California for a pair of matches against Canyons and LA Pierce.  CRC stays on the road to open Big 8 conference play, when they host the Vikings of Diablo Valley the following week.  Cosumnes River will then return home for a pair of matches against rivals Santa Rosa JC (Sept. 26) and Sacramento City (Sept. 30).

The Hawks only play at home twice during the month of October, playing a stretch that sees the team on the road for six of their eight matches during that span.  CRC will take on Modesto JC on Oct. 7, and will return home later that month to take on DVC for the second time in Big 8 play on Oct. 21.  Cosumnes River returns to the road for their next four matches, before closing out Big 8 play with a pair of matches at home.  CRC will host rival Delta (Nov. 7), before closing out the regular season on "Sophomore Night" against Sierra College (Nov. 13).
