Hawks Drop Tough Game To Sierra

The Hawks suffered a tough loss at the hands of Sierra College after taking a lead into the bottom of the 7th innings and posted a 5-4 loss with a 2-run walk-off home run by Sierra.

Sierra jumped to a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning without scoring a earned run. Sierra held the lead until the top of the 5th innings when the Hawks put up 4 runs in the inning all of which were unearned as well.

Going into the bottom of the 7th inning the Hawks held a 4-3 lead as Sierra flied out to left field, got a runner on base with a double to the outfield, then a pop-up to shortstop for the second out of the inning. With 2 outs and a runner on second, Sierra's 3rd baseman Rylie Carlier hit a 2-run shot over the left field fence to end the game.   

Aimee Hutchinson got the loss for the Hawks.

The Hawks will take their 6-3 conference record into a doubleheader against Diablo Valley College at CRC Stadium Friday with a 12 pm game 1 scheduled start time. Fans can follow along on GameChanger.
