SACRAMENTO, Calif.- Head Coach Ron Preble released the 2014 Cosumnes River men’s soccer schedule this past weekend.  The schedule, which features 19 contests, will see the Hawks compete at home 10 times during the regular season.  The Hawks open up the 2014 season later this month on the road against Evergreen Valley (Aug. 30).

The 2014 schedule features the CRC tournament, a Southern California trip against a pair of talented opponents, and a four-game schedule against teams from the Central Valley Conference.  The Hawks close out the regular season in November when they complete the second half of their Big 8 conference schedule.

The Hawks open September with their tournament, which will see them take on a pair of Northern California opponents.  Cosumnes River opens the tournament against the City College of San Francisco Rams (Sept. 6).  The tournament concludes the following day with a match against Shasta College of Redding (Sept. 7).  Both of these matches will take place at 1 PM.  CRC continues their homestand with matches against Canada College (Sept. 12) and Feather River College (Sept. 16).

Cosumnes River will then hit the road for their annual trip to Southern California to close out the pre conference portion of their schedule.  The Hawks will take on the Palomar Comets of San Marcos (Sept. 20), before closing the trip with a match against MiraCosta (Sept. 21).  CRC will open their Big 8 conference schedule on the road against American River (Sept. 26) the following week.

CRC will host the Pirates of Modesto JC (Oct. 3) in Big 8 action in their lone conference home match before opening up a four-game set against the CVC.  They play host to the Sequoias Giants (Oct. 7) before hitting the road for matches against Taft and Fresno City.  The Hawks return home to close the CVC portion of their schedule when they play host to West Hills-Lemoore (Oct. 17).

Coach Preble and his team will conclude their Big 8 conference schedule with three straight home matches following the West Hills contest.  The Hawks take on Big 8 power Santa Rosa (Oct. 24), before closing out their regular season home schedule against American River (Oct. 31) and Delta (Nov. 4).  CRC will host “Sophomore Day” during that November 4 matchup against the Mustangs.

The Hawks conclude their regular season on the road Nov. 14 when they take on the Bear Cubs of Santa Rosa JC on the road.
