Delta bench depth too much for Hawks.

Delta jumped out to a 10 point halftime lead and the Hawks never caught up in the second half in their 81-65 loss in the final game of the first half of Big 8 play.

Jordan Roberson led the way with 22 points including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. Victor Wariso had 11 points and 5 rebounds for the Hawks.

Robert Tolbert added 9 points and 4 rebounds while Khari Hutt chipped in with 7 points. Leondre Lintz cold shooting accounted for his just having 6 points as he was just 2 of 11 from the field.

Bolaji Famuylwa had 5 points and five rebounds for the Hawks and Raymund Gonzalvo had 4 points and 5 assists in the losing cause.

Lintz in spite of his not getting very many calls on his drives to the hoop, still had a 2 for 2 night from the foul line which boosted his free throw numbers on the season to 88 of 96 which is good for 91.7%, number one in the state!

With the loss the Hawks now stand at 11-11 on the year and are 2-5 in the Big 8 Conference.

Next up is the beginning of the second half of Big 8 play with a home game against Modesto on Friday the 27th at 7:30pm.
