Hawks Men Keep Slim Grip on First in Big 8!

Hawks Men Keep Slim Grip on First in Big 8!

The Hawks flew out to an early lead on the inspired play of Gerard Andrus, but ARC was never really out of it as they fought hard, especially in the second half. The second half featured at least 8 lead changes in the last few minutes of the game. Gerard Andrus led the Hawks with 31 points as well as 9 rebounds, and many of his points were on slam dunks off feeds from his teammates. Leondre Lintz chipped in with 16 and 8 assists while Kenny Doss had 10 points and 5 boards but lost a big chunk of the second half after picking up his fourth foul. Bakari Bradford, while scoreless, chipped in with 8 rebounds and also had 5 blocks. Austin Lobo's 3 pointer with 5 Seconds left was the game winner for the Beavers. Marcellas Perry led the Beavers with 30 points.

With Sierra's loss to DVC, CRC has a slim hold on first based on their overall record, as both teams are 8-3 in the conference. The two teams square off on Thursday night at CRC in a huge conference game with title ramifications on sophomore night at 5:30 pm.
